How did it all begin?

We are a group of guys who have been friends for a few years and noticed the gay scene on South Beach was declining. One day we were hanging out at my apartment and I said, "Hey, we know everyone on the beach so we should just have a party at my place." The attendance was so overwhelming that I decided to find a venue and host a party with my boys. Penny Back Wednesdays at INK Night Club was born. We used the name Penny Back as a marketing strategy, the idea was to give a penny back at the door for a free drink. People began calling us the Penny Back Boyz and the name stuck.

What's the vibe of PBB party like?

Great vibe, hot people, funky music and visual entertainment. A mix of trend setters, break dancers, models, fashionistas, metrosexuals, drag divas, 80's punks and scenesters. PBB parties are reminiscent of old school South Beach. The music: a mix of house, pop, 80's, R&B and commercial hip hop.
